Description
All along the way I worked at etching out a spiritual path that would make me strong, resilient and feed my soul. My mother’s Methodist religion never resonated with me. Nature did, however which leans toward Paganism. Buddhism speaks loudly to my soul and I find beauty and value in every path and religion as well as every person. Nature was my safe and happy place as a child and it is the base that I return to time and again for balance, peace and joy. Give me a mountain, a trail, a stream or the sea, any day and I will be grateful and blissed out. Strip me of all material things and I will never miss any of them, not for one minute. A rock or shell found in my path is the best gift for me. A story shared deeply between friends is a treasure to me. Give me a person who is warm, present, kind and knows how to speak and listen, share openly and be real and I will feel like the richest person alive.
“There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world: those who are afraid of trying and those who are afraid that you will succeed”.

Rona Frye was born and raised in Lake Geneva, WI. She created her own ‘path less traveled by’, when she divorced at 48, became a nomad at 59 and continued on that nomadic journey for fourteen years. It is what led to her chipping away at what was not her to find her authentic self. Today, at 76, she writes, with brutal honesty, about her experiences so far.
